THE WHOLE MACHINE

Ape the post.
Stay on the tab.

Root is a Mac browser. The trade lives in a modal on the post you already have open. One post is one SOL-quoted stonk. One creator is one LST. The first ape that needs either one creates it, then buys.

The tab

Root reads the page you are on. It recognizes a post or a profile on X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Threads, LinkedIn, and Bluesky. The control sits on that post. Ape, Sell, the SOL field, and the chart open there. The modal does not send you to another tab, and typing in the SOL field does not dismiss it.

The SOL balance of the connected wallet is on the modal. The amount can be typed, or taken as 5, 10, 20, 50, or 90 percent of that balance. 100 percent is only on Sell. Sell is on the same modal, and it is there when the connected wallet holds that post’s stonk.

A name painted on the page is a label. It is not proof that the person controls the account. The claim flow is the proof. The ape uses the profile URL the page is actually showing.

What an ape sends

An ape is a sequence of signed Solana transactions from the connected wallet. The fee payer is that wallet. Each transaction gets a fresh confirmed blockhash at approve time. The wallet signs the message after that refresh and broadcasts it.

Order, and only the missing pieces:

  1. If this creator has no LST yet, create the LST. The check is whether the stake pool account exists and is owned by the Sanctum stake-pool program. A mint-rent account is not an LST.
  2. If this post has no stonk yet, create that post’s SOL-quoted launch. The creator fee account on the launch is the LST reserve. The reserve does not sign.
  3. Buy that post’s stonk with the SOL amount on the modal. The buy wraps SOL, then swaps it in on the launch.

Later apes of the same creator skip the LST. Later apes of the same post skip the launch and buy the stonk that is already there. Addresses for the creator and for each post are remembered on the machine after those transactions confirm, and they are checked against the chain before they are reused.

The creator LST

Each creator gets one liquid staking token. It is a Sanctum single-validator stake pool. The pool token is a Token-2022 mint with nine decimals, a metadata pointer, and a transfer fee. The metadata lives on the mint. The name and symbol come from the creator label on the page.

The mint, the stake pool, the validator list, and the reserve are created from the fee payer with seeds, so the fee payer is the only signer on those transactions. The mint is 472 bytes and owned by Token-2022. The stake pool is 611 bytes and the validator list is 82 bytes, both owned by Sanctum. The reserve is a 200-byte stake account. Stake is initialized with the pool’s withdraw authority as both staker and withdrawer, and with an empty lockup.

Extension setup happens before the mint is initialized. The transfer-fee config is initialized first, then the metadata pointer, then the mint, then the metadata account, then mint authority moves to the withdraw authority. That withdraw authority is the Sanctum PDA of the stake pool and the seed withdraw. The fee record is the PDA of the fee program and the seeds root-fee plus the mint. The manager fee token account is the associated token account of that record for the LST mint.

The pool is initialized with one validator. The vote account is a current vote account read at creation time. Epoch reward fee is 0. Deposit and withdrawal fees are each 690 basis points, which is 6.9 percent. The referral on initialize is 50, and it applies to the mint fee only: half of that 6.9 percent mint fee. The other half of the mint fee is split evenly, 1.725 percent to the deployer and 1.725 percent to the creator. The remaining 3.45 percent is the referral half.

After initialize, the validator is added. The validator stake account is the Sanctum PDA of the vote account and the stake pool.

Fees

Three different 6.9 percent fees sit on the LST. They are not the same movement of SOL.

Withheld transfer fees are settled by the fee program 8c2i25rBuHn7Pn65AeJvnKDcPdyYUnfexgrqj6R4d8MR. Of what it harvests, 90 percent is burned and 10 percent is sent to the curation token account. That split is 9000 basis points burned. The program is permissionless: instruction data is a single zero byte, the record must be the root-fee PDA for that mint, and the vault and the curation account must both be token accounts of that mint.

Creator fees from a post’s stonk are a different pipe. The launch is created with the LST reserve as the creator account. Those fees arrive as native SOL in the reserve. They are the backing of the LST, not a transfer of the LST token itself.

The post stonk

Each post is its own launch on stonk.fun, which is a LaunchLab pool quoted in SOL. The base mint is Token-2022. The quote mint is wrapped SOL. The launch asks stonk.fun for the current SOL-quote pricing and uses that curve: supply, the amount sold along the curve, the raise, and the creator-fee flag on the constant-product leg. The platform config is the stonk.fun SOL config. The standard is the stonk.fun standard. The creator pubkey on the launch is the LST reserve, and it does not sign.

The buy then creates the buyer’s associated accounts for the stonk and for wrapped SOL, transfers the chosen lamports in, syncs native SOL, and buys exact-in on that pool. The minimum out is zero on that buy. The SOL amount is whatever was on the modal.

Pricing and candles are read from https://www.stonkfun.xyz/api/public/v1. The chart on a post is the launch’s kline closes. If there are fewer than two closes, the canvas stays empty. There is no second price source behind that line.

LST chart

An LST chart is NAV over time. NAV is SOL per LST token: the stake pool’s total lamports divided by the pool token supply. Both are nine-decimal integers on the stake pool account, total lamports at byte 258 and supply at byte 266. A supply of zero is not a sample.

The browser does not recompute that from the chain on every open. https://getrooted.fun/api/lst-nav keeps the series. A request names the stake pool. If the newest stored sample is older than a minute, the server reads that stake pool, checks it is owned by Sanctum, and stores the NAV. The modal plots the returned points. One point prints the number. Two or more points draw the line. The post’s stonk chart is still the kline, and it replaces the line after an ape that has closes.

Claim

Claiming is on this site, at /claim/. You sign in, connect the social account you control, and confirm the exact profile the platform returns. Bluesky confirmation is a temporary code in the bio, then a check. YouTube needs channel authorization. Facebook covers Pages you manage. The server stores the claim against the signed-in account. A second account cannot take a profile that is already claimed. Claiming does not create the LST, does not create a stonk, and does not move SOL. The LST and the stonks are created by an ape in the browser.

Leaderboards

The homepage lists top unclaimed and top claimed creators. Filters are platform, sort, order, and period. Sort is SOL contributed, LST backing, supporter wallets, or name. Period is all time, 7 days, or 30 days. Search matches a name, a handle, or a profile URL. Those boards read the claim and contribution records. They are not a second trading app.

Programs

Wallet and overlay Solana reads and broadcasts use a Flux Europe endpoint. The blockhash is confirmed, and it is fetched again when the transaction is approved.
